The Taking Your Next Step Challenge is Saxe Gotha's discipleship journey for the year, centered on four intentional steps: Study, Fellowship, Worship, and Serve. As we grow in God's Word, build meaningful relationships, deepen our worship, and serve our neighbors, we will grow together in Christ and live on mission as we journey toward celebrating the hope of the risen Savior at Easter.

OPEN HOUSE
August 9: 3pm to 6pm
The Saxe Gotha Open House is the start for our upcoming discipleship roadmap. During Open House, you and your family can sign up for fall studies, pick up class materials, meet leaders, ask questions, and discover ways to get involved in the life of the church. You will also have the opportunity to connect with staff, ministry leaders, and other covenant partners. There will be games and food trucks to enjoy while making sure you leave feeling prepared, connected, and ready to begin the first step, Study, on August 16.

STUDY
August 16 – October 18:
Sundays at 4pm - 5:30pm
Sunday Suppers to follow
Â
Every disciple has a next step in learning. During our Study phase, choose from a variety of Sunday elective classes designed for every stage of spiritual growth, From those exploring Christianity to mature believers seeking deeper biblical understanding. Together, we'll discover God's Word and build a strong foundation for a flourishing relationship with Jesus Christ.

FELLOWSHIP
October 25 – November 22
Â
Faith was never meant to be lived alone. During our Fellowship phase, we'll gather in homes around tables to share meals, encourage one another, pray together, and build authentic relationships. As we grow in community, we'll experience the joy of being known, supported, and challenged to follow Jesus together.

WORSHIP
February 7 – February 28, 2027
Â
Healthy disciples keep their eyes fixed on Christ. During our Worship phase, we'll gather as one church family to deepen our love for God through worship, prayer, Scripture, and stories of God's transforming work. Together, we'll prepare our hearts to love our neighbors as Christ has loved us.

SERVE
March 7 – March 21, 2027
Following Jesus always leads us outward. During our Serve phase, we'll put our faith into action by serving our neighbors throughout the Lexington community. Together, we'll meet practical needs, share Christ's love through tangible acts of kindness, and invite others to celebrate the hope of Easter with us.

EASTER SUNDAYÂ
March 28, 2027
As we serve in our community, our prayer is that the people we meet will experience the love of Christ and be invited to celebrate the hope of Christ with us. Through Study, Fellowship, Worship, and Serve, we will spend the coming months growing in God’s Word, building relationships, deepening our worship, and caring for our neighbors. Then, on Easter Sunday, we will gather to celebrate the resurrection and invite others to join us. This is the vision: restoring lives by leading people to Jesus.
