HOME: The Missions Ministry teams begin right here on campus serving their church and its members. It is not uncommon to see the Nailbenders walking around the church with tools or paint for a particular project at various times during the week...They are usually trying to help out behind the scenes with a particular classroom renovation or by building a set for a worship service or drama...It's amazing how much they are willing and able to do, to keep things running smoothly and schedules on track.
COMMUNITY: There are also household projects and charities and other facilities and agencies that SGPC supports in the Lexington and surrounding communities. LICS, Mission of Hope, Oakleaf Retirement home, Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter are just a few of the places Saxe Gotha's members support with service and donations.
USA: Each year youth and adults go on Summer Mission trips here in the United States to help a neighbor in need. Houma, LA is one place in particular where SGPC teams have assisted more than once in disaster relief efforts...
THE WORLD: Honduras, Haiti, Guatemala, Kenya, and the Sudan are all places that teams from Saxe Gotha have served or are planning to visit this year. There are even some missionaries who are permanently in the field...
