 Great good news!

The CDC Board is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea Sparks will join the CDC as Director on August 1.  Andrea is highly qualified and experienced.  She has a Bachelor of Music from Converse College, a Masters of Divinity from Gardner-Webb University, and a Doctorate in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina.  Andrea taught at USC’s Children’s Center, served as assistant to the director there, and was the children’s and pre-school minister at Boiling Springs Baptist Church.  In her work here, Dr. Sparks wants to “cultivate strong bonds between children and God, children and their families, and children and others.”  For her, the CDC should be a “safe, caring, and nurturing space for children to ask questions and grow as they develop in their relationship with and understanding of God.”  Andrea and all the members of the Board feel that God has called her to serve as our Director.  Please pray for Andrea and our program as she joins the CDC staff in August.
