Art Camp:
Age makes the difference here! The First Art Camp for Early Childhood, ages 4 to 6 (pre-kindergarten and kindergarten) runs June 14 – 18, 20010, from 9:30 am – 11:00 am. Cost: $80 per child. (Limited to 24 students) Cost includes all materials and snacks. Your child will receive developmentally appropriate visual arts learning and have a great time with other children. Rooms 230 – 235 under Fellowship Hall. ID and signature required when children are picked-up.
The Second Art Camp for elementary/intermediate children ages 7 to 11 will be held June 14 - 18, 2010, from 12:30 – 3:45 pm, cost $150 per child. (Limited to 30 students) Cost includes all materials and snacks. The children will be grouped by age and participate in three different classes each under the instruction of a different art educator.
Leader Instructors Are: Dr. Cynthia Colbert, Coordinator of Art Education Programs at USC, has 38 years of teaching experience and has authored three art text books utilized by elementary schools, and Ms. Carol Robertson, who has been named ?Most Outstanding Teacher in Elementary Education, and has 31 years of teaching experience at Lexington Elementary. Ms. Rose Grigg is the art teacher at Lake Murray Elementary school and has recently completed her National Board Certification in Art. Lunch will be available for $25 for the week. Rooms 230 – 235 under Fellowship Hall. ID and signature are required when children are picked up.
